CUTTING and CORING

At Brudco, we patch core cut ...  DELIVER!

Ground penetrating radar/scanning

Whenever you are cutting into a surface or the ground itself, it is always advisable to know what may be lying beneath or within the concrete. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and concrete scanning are the tools and technology we use at Brudco to help assist us in finding what may be lying within, or under the concrete.  GPR technology works by sending signals through the concrete that identify rebar, conduits, electrical lines, waterlines, sanitary lines and voids.  If lines are embedded in the concrete this technology will help identify them to avoid the risk of a strike.

concrete cutting

From time-to-time buildings and structures need upgrades that require horizontal trenches to be made through concrete. Concrete cutting is a process that utilizes specialized saws to cut areas of concrete. Brudco utilizes water and vacuums in conjunction with our saws to keep the process as clean as possible. Brudco can handle cutting from 1″ all the way to 20″ concrete.

concrete restoration and repairs

Over time, all structures are affected by erosion and structural weakening. Sometimes structures that are still sound require repairs or maintenance in order to restore visual appeal. Whether your concrete is structurally unstable or just not appealing anymore, Brudco can help.

Concrete coring

Brudco utilizes the latest tools and technology to assist our customers with upgrades to their assets in a clean, safe and precise manner. Concrete Coring or Drilling is a process of removing a concrete cylinder from a concrete structure.  Brudco has over 20 Coring units that can complete small diameter to large diameter cores.

    • Concrete Trenching
    • Asphalt Cutting
    • Electric Saw Cutting
    • Control Joint Cutting

Ground Penetrating Radar

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is the general term used to describe the tools and techniques for using  radio waves to locate and map structures and features that are buried in the ground or in man-made structures.  GPR units emit radio frequency signals that bounce off solid objects and return the echoes back through the system to build an image of what is underground. GPR can be used for;

    • Rebar Locating
    • Conduit Locating
    • Water line Locating
    • Sewer line Locating
    • Storm line locating
    • Void Locating

Concrete Scanning

Concrete scanning is required during construction projects to locate buried obstructions including pipes, rebar, cables, conduit and voids before any cutting or coring is completed. This important step ensure that buried infrastructure is not destroyed or damaged during repair or demolition. Brudco utilizes Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology to complete concrete scanning projects. GPR is a safe, non-destructive tool that uses radio frequency signals to locate structures and features in the ground or in man-made structures. It is a safe, efficient and effective way to ensure accurate locating before any cutting, digging or coring takes place. Applications of this technology include:

    • Rebar Locating
    • Conduit Locating
    • Waterline Locating
    • Sewer line Locating
    • Storm line locating
    • Void Locating
    • Demolition
    • Wall Sawing
    • Concrete Removal
    • Jackhammering & Breaking
    • Electrical & Plumbing cutting & restoration
